Turn on two-factor sign-in or add a passkey

Last updated

To turn on two-factor sign-in in Locally 360, open Settings from your user menu, go to Security, and press Enable 2FA. Scan the code with an authenticator app and save your recovery codes. You can add a passkey on the same page.

Steps

  1. Open your user menu and choose Settings, then Security.
  2. If it asks, confirm your password.
  3. Under Two-factor authentication, press Enable 2FA.
  4. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app on your phone, or type in the setup key. Press Continue.
  5. Type the 6-digit code from the app, then press Continue.
  6. Under Save your recovery codes, copy or download the codes and keep them somewhere safe. Each code signs you in once if you can’t use your authenticator app. Press I have saved my codes.

Add a passkey

  1. On the same Security page, press Add passkey.
  2. Give it a Passkey name, like your phone’s name, and press Register passkey.
  3. Follow your phone or computer’s prompt.

What happens next

When you sign in, you’re asked for a code from your app. With a passkey, press Sign in with a passkey on the sign-in page instead.
